A thief that was only interested in swiping kitchenware puzzled people in Qingdao. According to one resident, the thief often broke into houses at night and stole items such as bowls, pots and pans. During the past 20 days, six families in the resident quarter had been robbed.

Aug. 29 deadline on Katrina houses 
NEWORLEANS, La., April 21 (UPI) — The New Orleans City Council gave hurricane victims until Aug. 29, Katrina’s first anniversary, to clean, gut and board their devastated homes.
